The support of our volunteers is critical to ensuring that we can support more young people who are homeless or at risk of being. We welcome expressions of interest from volunteers who would like to host young people in their homes, potential future trustees or supporters who would like to fundraise on our behalf. We occasionally have roles to carry out specific tasks, such as supporting the delivery of an event. Look out on this page throughout the year for one-off opportunities.
Why do we need volunteers?
Being a charity is rewarding but also challenging. Trying to work within extremely tight budgets and not knowing when (or if) the next funding stream will come in keeps us on our toes. Our volunteers are key in helping us ensure that we can continue to support young people by carrying out tasks that support the day to day functioning of the charity, including service delivery and income generation.
What could it bring for you?
People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Volunteering can also develop social connections and evidence shows that it improves happiness and mental wellbeing.
What volunteering opportunities are currently available?
We are looking for trustees with experience in legal matters, digital and marketing so if you have these skills and are able to give us some of your time, we'd love to hear from you.
We are looking for Nightstop hosts across the Wyre Forest and South Worcestershire who could accommodate a homeless young person in their own home. Please look at our hosting page for further details.
We are looking for fundraisers who want to run their own event such as a coffee morning, cake sale, fun run etc., in aid of Nightstop. We can send you a fundraising pack and promote your event on our website.
