An update to our organisational response to coronavirus

14th April 2020

Thank you to all our supporters and donors who have been in touch recently and offered us help and donations. These are much appreciated and are helping us to support even more young people in crisis at this difficult time when demand on our services is rising. Thank you from the team here at Nightstop and best wishes to you and your families to stay safe.

So much has happened in the past few weeks and the world is a hugely changed place. What hasn't changed is Wyre Forest Nightstop's commitment to supporting young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Following the government's statement on 23rd March, we have updated our organisational response to Covid 19 to ensure that we play our part to "protect the NHS, save lives" through social distancing measures whilst continuing to deliver on our core purpose.

* STAFF. Our staff team will be working from home but are still working to provide a service to young people and other agencies. To contact us, call 01562 743111 or email info@wfnightstop.org

* NIGHTSTOP. We will continue to assess referrals for Nightstop accommodation on a case by case basis and provide support for young people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless by telephone and a number of digital channels.

* MEDIATION and COUNSELLING. These will be delivered through digital channels. Please contact us by phone or email for more details.

* AXIS YOUTH HUB. As lead partner in delivering the Axis Youth Hub, we will continue to deliver crisis advice and support for young people by telephone and a number of digital channels. Please read the statement from the Axis partners here which gives an update on the services we are all offering

* Over the coming weeks, we will be developing and delivering a number of support groups for young people. Look out for updates on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Although our services may be delivered differently, we are still here and remain committed to supporting young people at this difficult time.
