Chance to talk and shop at our Christmas Fundraiser

20th November 2018

We are holding a Christmas fundraiser and information event in Kidderminster on Thursday 6th December 11am to 3pm at Kidderminster Town Hall, Music Room, with the kind support of Kidderminster Town Council.

Our free Christmas fair and afternoon tea event will give visitors a chance to snap up some unique Christmas gifts and find out more about the work of Wyre Forest Nightstop, Kidderminster Foodbank and other organisations supporting families and people in need. There will be gift and craft stalls, a tombola, teas and live music. There will be crafts, Christmas decorations, plants, jewellery, teddies and knitwear for sale. All funds raised will go to Wyre Forest Nightstop and Kidderminster Foodbank, which provides food and toiletries to individuals and families struggling to make ends meet.

Trained Mediators from Nightstop and Volunteers from Kidderminster Foodbank will be on hand to chat, in confidence to anyone who is experiencing problems and would like to find out more about the help available. Judith Ford (CEO):

"Christmas is a really joyful time for many of us and we want to celebrate together with the people who support Nightstop and other partners in Wyre Forest. We also know that this time of year can trigger rising tension, and arguments in households that are struggling financially, or where relationships are breaking down. It's also a really difficult time for young people to be alone or feel isolated. We want to ensure that young people, parents and carers know where there is help available and how to access it."

There is still limited space available for stallholders at the event, for a fee of just £10. Organisers are also seeking donations of cakes and mince pies for the afternoon teas and would welcome any other donations from local businesses. Email info@wfnightstop or call 01562 743111.
