Xmas plea for selection boxes, biscuits & toiletry gifts for families in need across Wyre Forest

20th November 2018

In partnership with Kidderminster Foodbank, we have launched our 2018 festive appeal to help spread some Christmas cheer. We are asking people to put together Christmas boxes to share with those who are struggling, on low incomes, benefits or homeless. These will be distributed to scores of families and individuals who visit the foodbank throughout November and December.

We are requesting donations of selection boxes, chocolate gifts, small toys and books for children (new, unwrapped); Men and women's toiletry sets for teens and adults; Family food treats including Christmas cakes and puddings, party food, crackers, tinned goods, crisps and savoury treats.

Denise Carson, Kidderminster Foodbank said: "We support families and individuals all year round; at Christmas it is nice to give them a little something extra to make their day that bit more special. We ask that next time you are out shopping, please consider adding in an extra selection box, or food treat, or a toiletries gift, that we can share to those in need."

DONATION POINTS:

Kidderminster Foodbank (open Mon & Wed, 12.30-3.30; Friday, 9.30-3.30); Wyre Forest Youth House, Bromsgrove Street, Kidderminster (open 9-5 Monday-Friday); Gil's tearooms in Wolverley, next to Queen's Head (open daily); Foodbank collection trolleys in supermarkets in Kidderminster and Stourport.
